Mason here. Thanks for carving out this time with me today. You ever walk into an empty house, one that used to be full of life, and just hear the echo of your own footsteps? That quiet can be too quiet, almost disorienting, especially when your head is still buzzing from the day. It’s a feeling of something missing, something not quite right. But today, we're shifting gears from that empty feeling into a different kind of reality.
And of his fulness have all we received. — John 1:16The Briefing
John, who walked alongside and watched so much unfold, simply records this: "And of his fulness have all we received." If I’m being real, that just hits me in the chest. It's a statement about an overflowing, inexhaustible supply. It means that everything we could possibly need, everything truly substantial, has already been extended to us through him. We don't have to scramble or strive to earn it. Think about the current cultural zone we navigate – it’s like living in an AI uncanny valley, where you're constantly pausing, wondering, 'Is this real? Can I trust what I’m seeing?' John’s words here are the bedrock of what is real. This fullness isn't some deepfake promise; it's the genuine article, testified by one who saw it firsthand. It feels like a steady hand on a shaking shoulder. It’s what helps us navigate the never-ending 'home maintenance' grind of life, too. That gutter you keep meaning to clean, the furnace filter you forgot about – it’s all part of the stewardship, but the energy to master the `hurry` and truly `rest` comes from this endless source. This understanding allows a new kind of life to `sprout`, even through the `dormancy` of late winter, fueled by pure `sunlight`.

Here is your assignment for today: Practice anonymous generosity. Like a gardener who tends to a hidden `sprout` to ensure it thrives, identify a small, often overlooked need in someone's day. Picture yourself doing this: covertly pay for the coffee behind you in line, or leave a generous, anonymous tip for a service person. Do it without any expectation of recognition, letting the act itself be its own reward."Father, we’re leaning into the silence here, admitting our weakness and our tendency to chase after things that don’t truly fill us. We confess our mess, the ways we get caught in the `hurry` and forget the `rest` you offer. Thank you for this truth, that in your Son, we lack nothing. Dear Lord, help us live from that place of abundance, rather than scarcity. In Jesus' name... Amen."
