Wind’s been kicking up dust out here all morning. Same as yesterday, same as a hundred years ago. Things change, things stay the same, but it all just keeps blowing through. Reckon that’s the nature of things in this world. Listening to the radio driving back from town, heard another report about a whole lot of fuss over something temporary. Good to remember we ain’t supposed to get too comfortable in this place. Scripture says we are pilgrims, sojourners. That feeling of “not belonging” ain’t a sign of being lost. It’s just the truth of it. Keeps a man watchful, but not rattled, knowing who holds the deed. That is sovereign.
