Grasping Hope: How Ezekiel and Ezekiel Offer Strength in Weariness Today...
Another day, another chance to mark the ground... Welcome to the Daily Eb where we find strength for the struggle, your daily reminder that you don't walk alone. Yesterday, we talked about dropping anchor in the storm and trusting in His care... Today, we look at the quiet strength of His presence when the day winds down...
"Now the hand of the Lord was upon me in the evening."— Ezekiel 33:22The Briefing
I was sitting with this for a while... The idea that the hand of The Lord isn't just about judgment, but also about strength, it's a powerful one. Honestly, it's like when you're battling a nasty cold—you know, that feverish, achy feeling and all you want is for it to just… end. But then, sometimes, you feel a moment of relief, like a cool hand on your forehead. That's what Ezekiel is talking about here. It's not just about escaping the bad; it's about feeling The Lord's presence in the middle of it, strengthening your soul. That hand is still there through it all. This isn't just about enduring chastisement; it's about feeling The Lord's strengthening presence, even when your faith feels weak and your devotion cold. Ezekiel reminds us to consider that it isn’t just an affliction that has come upon us, but it is meant to drive us closer to The Lord, who sees our struggles and knows our limits.
⚔️ Your Mission
Here is your assignment... Reach out to someone in need of a hand. Maybe that looks like checking in on a neighbor who’s been isolating, offering to run errands for someone who’s struggling to get around, or simply sending a heartfelt message to someone who needs to know they're not alone. It’s about being The Lord's hands in a world that often feels cold and distant."God, we need a reset... Gracious God, we’re tired. We’re worn down. Remind us that Your hand is not just a symbol of correction, but also of comfort and strength. Help us to extend that same hand to others, to be a source of Your love and grace in a world that desperately needs it. Soften our hearts to hear your calling and give us the courage to pursue it. In Jesus' name... Amen."
