Unveiling Divine Inheritance: How Isaiah Guides Us to Christ's Covenant...
Back for your daily touchstone? I love to see it... Welcome to The Daily Eb, where we bridge the gap between Sunday sermon and Monday morning... Yesterday we were looking at how 'Isaiah emphasizes that everything requires renewal, and like trees drawing sap, we must constantly seek restoration from The Lord to withstand life's challenges and internal struggles...'... ... ... This is Part 1 of our 4-part series on Grace and Guidance... Coffee, anxiety, and a dead phone battery… you get the idea... It feels like we’re always waiting for something... Waiting for that promotion, waiting for test results, waiting for a relationship to heal... Or on the flip side, the anticipation of a surprise party, the joy of a child's laughter, the peace after a tough day at work... Either way, life feels like a constant state of expectation, of what's next...
"I will give thee for a covenant of the people."— Isaiah 49:8The Briefing
This got me thinking... Isaiah isn't just talking about a contract; he's talking about an inheritance... a birthright... Think about an old family home, passed down through generations... The worn floorboards, the creaky stairs, the stories etched into the walls... It's more than just property; it’s a legacy, a tangible connection to the past and a promise for the future... Isaiah is pointing to Jesus as the ultimate inheritance... Jesus isn't just a gift; he's the covenant itself... Everything Jesus has—power, love, justice—is ours... It's not just about getting 'saved'; it's about inheriting the very nature of The Lord... That dead phone battery isn't just an inconvenience; it's a reminder that we need to be charged up by the covenant, the inheritance we have in Jesus... to tackle life's everyday struggles...
⚔️ Your Mission
Here is your next step... Your mission today is to audit your heart like you would audit the attic of that old family home... What old hurts, fears, or doubts are cluttering the space where your inheritance should be? What needs to be cleared out to make room for the fullness of Jesus?... Maybe that looks like journaling, maybe that looks like forgiving someone, maybe that looks like simply sitting in silence and letting The Lord's presence fill the room..."Spirit, come level the ground for us... Lord God, help us to see Jesus as the inheritance we have... Clear out the clutter of our hearts so that we can embrace the fullness of your love and power... Give us the courage to face the fears and doubts that keep us from fully inheriting your promises... In Jesus' name... Amen."

Read the records of the community below.MatthewJanuary 22, 2026There is definitely a lot in the attic so to speak that I hoard away. New stuff gets added. I definitely need to be doing abetter job at cleaning up the wreckage so I can allow Jesus to more of a part of my life

I hear you on that. It’s so easy to let the ‘new stuff’ pile up on top of the old before we’ve even had a chance to sort through the boxes. That ‘wreckage’ can feel heavy, but the beautiful thing about an inheritance is that it doesn’t depend on how clean the attic is—it’s already yours.
Don’t feel like you have to do a total renovation in one day. Maybe just clear off one ‘dusty chair’ in your heart and sit with Him there for three minutes. So glad you’re walking through this series with us—we’re right there in the thick of it with you! 🪵✨
